In this era of post-legacy, there’s been a serious shift in foreign correspondence—or so I learned recently when I copy edited this report spearheaded by Columbia University’s Ann Cooper. Essentially, the idea of “being there” has taken on new meaning with the proliferation of Twitter and blogs, and the ongoing censorship against journalists in countries like North Korea and Iran.
